California Mom Delivers a 13lb Baby – Vaginally!
Kelly Corsetti knew during her pregnancy that her son would have an above-average weight. But she never expected baby Valentino to become one of the largest newborns ever delivered in Northern California. Tipping the scales at a whopping 13lbs, 11 ounces (About 6.2KG). When the baby boy, named Valentino Francisco Corsetti, was placed on the hospital scale after delivery, his mother was shocked and couldn’t believe the number she saw.
The healthy newborn was the size of a typical three-month-old when he was welcomed at Sutter Davis Hospital on Friday, April 28, 2017 – The average newborn weighs 7.5 pounds at birth. Perhaps even more impressive, Corsetti’s gave birth vaginally after about two hours of labor.

Both of Corsetti’s older children had been born vaginally; Giovanni’s birth weight was also above average. Coming in at 10lbs, 14 ounces, while Taylor tipped the scales at birth at just over 8lbs.
The mom-of-three says she has no plans to try for baby No 4, at least for the time being.
