Nine Labor & Delivery Nurses At Maine Hospital Are Pregnant At The Same Time:
Nine nurses who work in the labor and delivery unit at the largest hospital in Maine are pregnant. Also, they are expecting babies in the next few months.
The story went viral after one of the pregnant nurses, Brittney Verville, posted a photo on Facebook of eight of the women lined up outside the unit they work in. Also, holding cards with their due dates.
“Something is definitely in the water here at Maine Medical Center on the Labor and Delivery Unit!” she wrote. “Lots of baby friends being made this summer!”
Moreover, Maine Medical Center announced the baby boom by reposting the picture on a Facebook post. Also, congratulated the mothers. The post featured eight of the nine nurses and their respective bumps.

“After each one of us started to say, ‘We’re pregnant,’ I think it was a happier kind of announcement each time, and we’re all there for each other,” nurse Erin Grenier told CNN
Finally, the army of infants is expected to arrive between April and July.

The hospital responded to some people’s concerns regarding having enough staff in the summer, commenting “Don’t worry! We have a plan.”
The soon-to-be moms said it has been great to have so much support at work.” It’s really nice coming to work and seeing other people who are just as pregnant and watching their bellies pop and just talking about these experiences that we are going through together,” nurse Amanda Spear told WMTW
The Portland hospital’s photo showed the nurses wearing their hospital scrubs, proudly showing off their bumps and holding cards indicating their due dates.
There were pinks and blues among the cards, along with two yellows and green.

The nurses plan to be there for each others’ delivery, showing support from the beginning to the end of their pregnancies.
