Sleep On Side: The Safest Way To Sleep During Pregnancy.
Wondering about the safest way to sleep during pregnancy? New research by NHS England and Tommy’s, the baby charity has shown that you should sleep on your side during pregnancy #SleepOnSide.
The campaign #SleepOnSide was launched in a bid to reduce the rate of stillbirth and aims to educate women on how sleeping positions especially during the third trimester could increase the risk of stillbirth.
The research confirmed that the risk of stillbirth is doubled if women go to sleep on their backs in the third trimester and highlight the importance of sleeping on your side especially at the end of pregnancy.
