Woman Gives Birth Instead of Kidney Stones Treatment.
Stephanie Jaegers was down with abdominal pain so she headed to the hospital with her husband, Micheal to have it checked. Thinking perhaps she had kidney stones, however, doctors quickly realized Stephanie’s pain was not the result of any kidney stone. She was about to give birth.
A few hours later, at 3:50 a.m., Stephanie gave birth to a 7-pound, 3-ounce, healthy baby boy. They named him Shaun Jude. The couple is still in shock, but are thrilled to have an unexpected fourth child.
When asked how they did not know they were pregnant for 8 months, Michael said in a Facebook post that doctors had diagnosed Steph with pre-menopause awhile back which accounted for her hormone imbalance. In addition to that, Shaun was breech throughout the entire pregnancy which prevented him from moving around and his position meant that Steph did not “show”. She also had her menstrual cycle all through pregnancy, which the hospital tells says is rare, but can happen. And Lastly, Steph broke her ankle several weeks prior to the birth, which her movement.
The trilled dad wrote on Facebook “I went from googling ‘kidney stone treatments’ to a panic attack over the fact that not only were we pregnant, but the baby was coming within the hour. Most parents have a good 9+ months to plan for such a blessing, we had 30 minutes notice.”
